Worldbuilding

VAST is a universe rebuilt after collapse. Twice.

A place where belief shapes physics, memories can be stolen like currency, and reality keeps forgetting its own rules.

This page is a doorway into that mythos.

What VAST Is

VAST is the Third Respawn of civilization.

After the Second Known Collapse, reality reassembled itself into fractured territories – conceptual pockets shaped by the strongest ideas that survived. Call it a universe. Or another failed reboot. I call it the place where everything impossible becomes inevitable.

The Collapses

First Known Collapse: Ancient, mostly forgotten.
Second Known Collapse: Early 21st-century Earth. Belief fractured faster than reality could patch.
Third Collapse: Approaching now… quietly, structurally, like a stress crack you don’t notice until your floor gives way.

The edges of VAST still remember each break.

Echo Bearers

Echo Bearers are the ones caught between layers – where story meets physics. They are memory-sensitive, collapse-resistant, and dangerously aware.

Some patch the fractures. Some widen them. All leave ripples.

Artifacts and Entities

Objects in VAST don’t just exist, they persist. They carry memories, contracts, curses, codes.

Memory merchants trade in stolen recollections. The Choir of the Seventh Night sings in a key the living can’t hear. The Hollow-Skinned Watchers see every version of you at once.

This world was never meant to be tidy.

Where to Start

If you’re new here, begin with the stories. They are the cleanest fractures to look through. If you’ve already seen something you shouldn’t have… keep going.
